Anytime you set out to do something great in life, there will be critics. If you’re going to be a great businessperson, coach, student, leader or employee, there will be opposition. The more success you have, the more opportunities there will be for distractions. The higher you go, the more haters will come out. When you start stretching to a new level and pursuing what God has placed in your heart, the jealous people, the critical people, and the small-minded people come out of the woodwork and start making negative comments, but you don’t have to let that distract you.

If you are under pressure today, if the critical voices are coming against you, know that it’s because you are making a difference. Don’t let them throw you off course. Instead, dig your heels in, set your face like a flint, and say, “I will not get distracted. I will not get drawn into battles that don’t matter. It doesn’t matter what others think; it matters what God thinks!”

Today, look beyond the critics. Stand strong in adversity. Press forward to what lies ahead and win the prize of life that He has prepared for you!

God says “do not be afraid” or, “fear not” 365 times in the bible. He must be serious! There are 365 days in a year, so he has one for every day.

God’s desire is that we continually progress, that we reach higher heights and go to new levels. Oftentimes, as soon as we make the decision to step out in faith and obey God, the enemy brings in fear to try to stop us. He’ll bring thoughts like, “What if you fail? What are other people going to think? You don’t have what it takes.” He’ll do his best to use fear to try to convince us to shrink back and stay where we are.
The Bible says that fear is a spirit. It plays on our emotions and holds us back. But the good news is that we have power over fear! The Bible says that perfect love casts out all fear. When we receive God’s perfect love, we will have confidence about the future because we know His plans are for our good. I’ve heard it said that fear is an acronym for False Evidence Appearing Real. Understand that fear is a lie. Today, choose to believe God’s Word and receive His love so that you can overcome fear and move forward into the good life He has prepared for you!

This is a current twist on a old book. The Count of Monte Cristo. This show is all that you could expect if you’ve read the book. It’s great, gets your adrenaline pumping. Makes you wanna keep watching. Its get you invested in the characters and makes you want the other characters to suffer. Its heart racing, captivating, interesting and sexy. This show is exactly what you would want from a show based on the book. Its subtle and obvious all at the same time.

If you haven’t seen this show. Then I can honestly say you’re missing out. The story line is what makes the show what it is. Its addicting. Its intriguing thats constantly pulling you in. Its a guilty pleasure. The twists, the plot, the characters. Everything about this show is an A. On top of that the acting couldn’t be better. Its everything you would want from a serial killer gone good. Showtime, the directors, and Michael C. Hall are outstanding.

Im a big fan of reading. And when I read I have really vivid imagination, which means if theres a chance that I could see the “real life” characters of my favorite books im gonna watch it. Pretty Little Liars is another on of my favorite shows. One thing that I absolutely love about it, is that they’ve kept almost all of the characters exactly like the book. Which is hard to find when a books goes to TV a lot changes. Although a lot did change. I couldn’t picture a more perfect cast, and story line. Which although they add a lot in between, they keep to the books story line. I’ve read all the books, so I was a fan before the show came out. And that fact alone is what keeps me the most intrigued, because as a reader I wouldn’t want them straying too far from the original story line. On top of the story line, the four main girls make the show what it is. The acting is exactly what is should be. They are amazing. With that, much of what the show does that others don’t is that they are very social media interactive. Meaning they interact while they are on the show, and while they are off the show. And you get to see into the actors lives. And thats much more then you get or had gotten before.

One of my favorite tv shows. Tons of reason why I continue to watch all the reruns almost every night. Number 1 reason, the cast. There’s a reason we all crave to continue to air in shows together. They have great chemistry. They just worked well together. The characters are incredibly developed all worked together perfectly. Each of them had their own personalities that all clashed together with grace. The comedy. All the little quips and funnies they have in this show make it what it is. On top of that the story lines are intriguing enough, to make me re-watch it. Its not so overdone, and it was so good that there is shows that are still trying to make another Friends. Although im sure that wont be able to happen. But this is hands down one of my favorite shows.

“…weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning” (Psalm 30:5, NLT).

The Scripture says in Psalms that joy comes in the morning. When you wake up each morning, God sends you a special delivery of joy. It comes knocking at your door. When you get up in faith and make the declaration that “this is going to be a good day,” do you know what you just did? You just answered the door. You just received the gift of joy that God sent to you. The problem is that some people never answer the door. Joy has been knocking for months and months, years and years saying, “Come on! Let me in! You can be happy! You can cheer up! You can enjoy your life!”

I don’t know about you, but I’ve made up my mind that I’m going to answer the door for joy. I’m going to wake up every morning and say, “Father, thank You for another beautiful day. I’m going to be happy. I’m going to enjoy this day. I’m going to brighten somebody else’s life. I am choosing to receive Your gift of joy, today!”

Prayer for Today:

Heavenly Father, thank You for joy. Thank You for peace. Thank You for walking me through the difficult times. I choose today to answer the door for joy every single morning so that I can walk in the strength You have given to me. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

When all seems lost, Jesus says, “Just trust me.” In the darkest night, Jesus says, “Just trust me.” While most of us know these words and find them easy to believe in church services when things are going well, they are often much tougher to believe when we find circumstances similar to what Jairus was facing. Fear paralyzes us! Fear controls our thoughts! Fear steals away our faith! So Jesus says, “Don’t be afraid. Just trust me!” May God give us the strength to do just that when we face fearful times.

Everyone goes through things that don’t seem to make sense. It’s easy to get discouraged and wonder, “Why did this happen to me?” “Why did this person treat me wrong?” “Why did I get laid off?” But we have to understand, even though life is not always fair, God is fair. And, He promises to work all things together for good for those who love Him.

I believe the key word is this verse is “together.” In other words, you can’t just isolate one part of your life and say, “Well, this is not good.” “It’s not good that I got laid off.” “It’s not good that my relationship didn’t work out.” Yes, that’s true, but that’s just one part of your life. God can see the big picture. That disappointment is not the end. Remember, when one door closes, God has another door for you to walk through — a better door. Those difficulties and challenges are merely stepping stones toward your brighter future. Be encouraged today because God has a plan for you to rise higher. He has a plan for you to come out stronger. He has a plan to work all things together for your good so that you can move forward in the victory He has prepared for you!
